The Aquila

With two extra inches in length and an extra 5/8 inch in depth than our standard size autoharps, The Aquila is very loud, very resonant, with a distinctive sound and increased dynamic range.
The Aquila will allow you to jam with any number and type of acoustic instruments, in much greater comfort, without having to strain to be heard. It is flexible enough to blend in yet powerful enough to take a lead.
This 'harp features an anchor end bridge two inches out on the top, rather than abutting the frame. This allows the energy of the strings to transfer more directly to the top, which is the main resonator or "speaker" for the instrument. It also increases the size of the sound chamber, resulting in a highly resonant, loud 'harp with a characteristic sound.
The scale length (the length of the strings between the bridges) is the same as our TLC and Desert Rose, and its width is the same as our other standard 'harps.
